STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK
Staff Appreciation Week is next week! Let’s make this an awesome week to say thanks to all of the hardworking staff of TES. Looking for other parents or family who would like to help with the event. Contact room parent Jennifer Clark-Truckel for additional information & to help out.
Join us for Zumba! This is open to everyone at TES. Friday, April 29th at 6:00pm in the auditorium we will have David Ramirez from Studio K for Zumba and then a workout with Rosie from 7-7:30pm. Tickets will be sold next week Monday–Friday before and after school for $10, there will be a limited number of tickets available at the door. Flyer was sent home via Peachjar last week and is attached here.
MILITARY CHILD APPRECIATION DAY
April is Military Child Appreciation Month. Wear purple on Friday April 29th to show your support. See attached flyer for more information.
The PTO does not currently have enough volunteers to help keep this fundraiser up and running on Fridays. If you are interested in volunteering for 15 minutes after school every Friday please contact Courtney Pike. Popsicle sales will be put on hold until we can get enough volunteers to help out for the last 7 Fridays of the school year. The goal is for Popsicle sales to take place every Friday after school, weather permitting, and sales help support academic and enrichment programs at TES. Please note that Popsicle sales will not take place on minimum days or the Friday before a holiday break.
SERRA FAMILY EVENT
See attached flyer regarding a fun community event at Serra High School on May 2nd from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. There will be food trucks, coffee cart, movie, basketball in the gym, and a DJ.
Get your baking skills and checkbooks ready for the cake auction on Friday, May 6th from6-8pm in the auditorium! Watch for save the date flyers that will be sent home and through email that need to be turned in by April 29th so we know how many cakes we will have. This is a fun event for the fifth graders and is open for all TES families to attend. If you have any questions please contact Cassie Hodosky.
AHOY! The Pirate Dance is coming – sooner than you think! The annual TES Pirate Beach Party Dance will be Friday May 13th in the auditorium. We’ve changed the time to 5 to 7 PM – so you can bring your little swashbucklers earlier, feed them pizza and grog at the dance, and still get ‘em home for a full night’s sleep, dreaming of plunder. We’ll provide music, dancing, and games for all. We’ll have pizza, shave ice, snacks and pirate treasure for sale to benefit the school. Please volunteer to help with tickets, decorations, and refreshments, or to bake cookies and cupcakes for the dance. For more information or to volunteer, contact Scott Walsh.
It’s time to sign up for the Talent Show! Auditions will be held on Friday, May 20. Please use the attached form to sign up your performer. Contact Amy Day with questions, or to volunteer.
What a fun, successful and awesome event! The students did a phenomenal job running with Roadrunner pride throughout the day!
I would like to thank the following volunteers specifically for their efforts on behalf of the APEX FUN RUN. Their unconditional help and involvement made this fundraiser a huge success so we have monies to help grow and better our school.
Ceil and Phil Weck
Last Friday your child received a collection envelope from their teacher. This envelope is used to collect all cash/checks or outstanding pledges that may still need to be recorded and collected. Please have your child bring it back by this Thursday, April 28th and turn into their teacher. If there are any outstanding payments online please process them by Thursday April 28th.
I know you are all excited to hear the results but we will share them once all of the donations are received so we can give you an accurate update.
